Malganis has so much control and sustain in fights it’s hard not to play him solely as tank as a late pick. I actually played her as tank on release and it was fun and seemed good in the drafts that actually looked appropriate for it (not optimal on release but at least that gives you a taste of her strengths so they would then know how to change her into the tank she could be, which would be support tank like Tyrael)
Instead, “oh I guess we did a Blaze again,” and buffed her E to crazy waveclear levels. Well tbf they actually just 180’d on Yrel instead of doubling down in the supportive aspects of her kit, going through with the 1.25s charge time, and other changes that would have made her a more viable tank.
